Wild card character

The percent character (%) may be used as a wild card to substitute any number of characters e.g.

• Surname: Wilson will only return the surname Wilson
• Surname: Wil% will return surnames Wilson, Williams, Williamson, Wilmot, etc.
• Surname: Wil%son will return surnames Wilson, Williamson, Wilkinson, etc.
• If the Surname field is left blank, all surnames will be returned

We are currently working on surveying the gravestones that are incorporated within and surrounding the church buildings. This information will entered into a database that will be searchable on this site

The Friends of Berwick and district Museum and Archives originally carried out a Survey of Chatton Churchyard on 15th June 1996. At Chatton there are 3 churchyards - the original one around the Church, an extension attached to this (marked graveyard on the plan) and a new churchyard on the road to west Lyham.
